Grace and peace to you from God our Father and His Son Jesus Christ.
With one week to go till Vestry, I wish to thank you all for your commitment to God and His Church. I am excited about the future for the Church of the Good Shepherd and with great humility I believe that we have a vital role to play in the future of the Church. We, each one of us needs to respond to God and work at building this community and developing a new culture fitting for 2020. Building on the solid foundation that has been laid we need to appreciate the new and nurture it.
We need to split the Sunday School into two groups, and we are in need of more teachers. Please speak to Claire Hannington or myself.
We will be nurturing new Eucharistic Assistants and Servers and a new preacher or two – I ask you to support and encourage them.
Please read the reports and be well prepared for Vestry!
As a Diocese we are hurting, and we need healing. I am grateful for the call to prayer and for what we as a Diocese will do on Saturday 25th.
I am part of a task team convening a Diocesan Dialogue on the 28th of March, so in January we will listen to God and digest what we hear and then in March we will dialogue about putting what God has laid on our hearts into action. Pray for continued prayer and action in the Diocese, pray for healing and for wisdom and that our process will draw us into the presence of God and His will.
Be assured of my prayers as we seek to serve God together in this place.
