Grace and peace to you from God our Father and His Son Jesus Christ.
4 months of lockdown have changed the way we see the world, the way we live in it, and our expectations. As we continue to reorder our lives, may your faith be strengthened and may you begin to experience a peace, in knowing that God is with us.
The emerging reality that comes upon us each day can only be embraced as a lifestyle if our hope is not in the things of this world. Live today for today but in the context of the entire story of the people of God and you will then see that you have all things necessary for your salvation and, for a life in Christ and with Christ and through Christ.
We give thanks for those in our parish who are recovering and pray for those waiting for a diagnosis or still in isolation. May God be gracious to you.
Schools will close again, at least part of this will be a complete break and then work from home will resume until the schools go back on a new schedule. I encourage you all to be sensible and remain at home during this time. This is a time for family’s to truly engage with each other and build on relationships, you are laying a new foundation for the future, do it well!
I had hoped that in August we would return to some physical gatherings in small groups or one on one meetings, but that will be reviewed now at the end of August. There are other ways to meet with me, and I encourage you to make contact. Email, WhatsApp, Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Twitter, Linkedin, I have them all so there is no excuse.
We continue to pray for the frontline workers and are grateful for them.
Again, I express my gratitude for your faithful financial contributions to the life of the Church that ensure that we continue to be the Community that knows Jesus and makes Him known and is the Church in the community.
Be assured of my prayers!
Choose faith not fear.
