After 40 days with his disciples, Jesus returned to heaven. After this happened, the disciples immediately returned to Jerusalem and had a prayer meeting. Jesus had said they would be baptized with the Holy Spirit in a few days, so they waited and prayed.

When you face a difficult task, and important decision, or baffling dilemma, don’t rush into the work and just hope it comes out the way it should. Instead, make your first step, prayer for the Holy Spirit’s power and guidance.

I think we all struggle between doing and being. Where we just want to do the “thing” that needs doing and being patient and praying for God to give us direction and guidance.
