The Collect
Heavenly Father,
children suffered at the hands of Herod, though they had done no wrong: give us grace not to be indifferent, in the face of cruelty or oppression, but to defend the weak from the tyranny of the strong; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen

Canticle 12
Christ has died, Christ is risen: Christ the Lord will come again.
If we have died with Him, we shall also live with Him: if we endure, we shall also reign with Him.
If we deny Him, He will also deny us: if we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.
Christ has died, Christ is risen: Christ the Lord will come again.
Glory to the Father and to the Son: and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning: is now and will be forever.
Amen.
